Progress - measuring what matters
Volleyball Canada believes in transparency, measuring progress and celebrating success along the way. Our progress page is dedicated to keeping track of the critical areas for improvement and holding all of us accountable to growing the game we love.
Below are some of the larger areas that we need to address to move our development system forward. We hope the entire Canadian Volleyball community will take on these challenges to grow our game to new levels.
Increase number of elementary schools using Circulation Volleyball
Volleyball Canada believes that Circulation Volleyball is the solution to effectively developing 6-8 year old children. Its a fun and dynamic game that can be played by anyone. It's up to us to promote Circulation Volleyball and ensure all of Canada has the opportunity to play and enjoy the game.
Increase Sitting Participation Levels
Sitting volleyball is a very new sport to Canada. We have structures in place to increase sport participation levels. The existing club volleyball system and network of sport and recreation centres are examples of such structures. We are constantly looking at creating resources to help sport champions develop sitting volleyball programs within their clubs, associations and centres. Check out the Coaches and Teachers pages for links to some great resources.

Increase number of classifiable athletes
In order to close the gap between Canada and other nations at the national team level, we need to build a significant depth chart of athletes who classify for international competition. In order to do this, we need to continuously forge ties with: volleyball associations, organizations for individuals and athletes with a disability, rehabilitation centres, and many other stakeholders.
